Special Information About Saudi Arabia Embassy/Consulate
All visa applications for Saudi Arabia will require a MANDATED Document Pre-Check for an additional fee of $65.
The requirements for the Saudi Arabia Invitation Letter are quite strict. All such letters must receive approval through Document Pre-Check before the applicant submits their application packet for processing.
Important Notes
Women applying for a business visa to Saudi Arabia must obtain a pre-approved invitation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The invitation number will start with 7005, and there are no exceptions to this rule.
1. Invitation Notice
Applicants must provide a confirmed invitation request from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which their host will arrange and provide a confirmation letter for. Alternatively, an original invitation letter from a government company in Saudi Arabia (such as Saudi Aramco) is acceptable. It is common for hosts to claim that their influence or connection to the Royal Family exempts them from this requirement; however, the Embassy or consulate in the UK will not issue a visa without it.
Please Note: The type of Saudi invitation dictates which embassy or consulate the application must be submitted to, irrespective of the applicant’s residency. Al Makkah Travels will only accept governmental invitations directed to London that begin with “700”. If your invitation does not start with these numbers and is meant for the London consulate, it will need to be reissued. For accurate information on how to interpret Saudi Arabian invitations, please refer to the provided resources.
2. Passport Requirements
Applicants must submit their current, signed passport. Since visas are stamped into passports, the original document is required. Passports must be signed and contain at least two blank visa pages (amendment pages do not count).
3. Photo Submission
Two identical color passport-style photographs are required. These photos should be recent and generally should not be the same ones used for the passport.
4. Proof of Travel
A computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online booking tool is necessary, showing departure from the UK and arrival/departure details for your destination. If traveling via private charter, the charter’s manifest will suffice.
5. Declaration Form
A signed Declaration Form must be submitted by the applicant.
6. Business Cover Letter
A Business Cover Letter (BCL) from a UK company is required. This letter must be an original document on company letterhead, detailing the date, duration, and purpose of travel, along with contact information and address at the host company. The BCL must also be notarized.
7. Business Registration Form
A copy of the inviting company’s registration from the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Commerce and Industry must be provided.
8. Declaration for Muslim Applicants
Muslim applicants must declare that they will not use a business visa for purposes related to Hajj or Umrah.
9. Proof of Meningitis Vaccination
If visiting Mecca, Medina, or Jeddah, or if your sponsor is based in these cities, proof of meningitis vaccination is required. The consulate does not accept vaccination exemptions; photocopies of vaccination proof are acceptable.
10. Visa Application Submission
A completed visa application form must be submitted. Applications should be printed single-sided and signed in blue or black ink only.
